Ho Chi Minh City dismisses Vice Chairman of People's Council Tran Van Tuan

Ho Chi Minh City - On the morning of February 6th, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council dismissed Mr. Tran Van Tuan from the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and elected additional members of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the term 2021 - 2026.

With a majority of votes in favor, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council unanimously dismissed Mr. Tran Van Tuan from the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.

The dismissal was carried out because Mr. Tran Van Tuan had been transferred, assigned, and appointed to hold the position of Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee from December 29, 2025.

Mr. Tran Van Tuan, born in 1975, from Ho Chi Minh City; holds a Master's degree in Public Management, Bachelor of Business Administration, Senior in Political Theory.

Before being appointed as Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Tran Van Tuan held many positions such as: Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (formerly),...

Also at the session, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council unanimously voted to elect Mr. Pham Van Nghi - Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City as a member of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, term X, 2021 - 2026.

Mr. Pham Van Nghi was born in 1978, from Tien Giang province (now Dong Thap province); holds a Master's degree in Law, Senior in Political Theory. He was appointed Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City on December 18, 2025.

Previously, Mr. Pham Van Nghi held the positions of: Chairman of the Inspection Committee of District 10 Party Committee (old), Deputy Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City.
