On the morning of May 18, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang awarded the 65-year Party Badge to Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President, at her private residence in Phu Thuan ward.
This is the Party Badge awarding ceremony to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026).
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang emphasized that the Party Badge is a noble reward for outstanding Party members who have dedicated their whole lives to striving, contributing and sacrificing for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Mentioning former Vice President Truong My Hoa, Mr. Tran Luu Quang expressed his emotion when recalling the time she spent 11 years in hard labor in many enemy prisons. Despite the harsh circumstances, she always maintained the integrity of a communist, becoming a spiritual support, encouraging and adding strength to many fellow prisoners.
According to Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang, Ms. Truong My Hoa, although she has held many senior leadership positions of the Party and State, is always close and sincere to the people. After leaving her leadership position, she continues to have many meaningful activities, rich in humanity and spreading in the community.
Mr. Tran Luu Quang especially mentioned the role of Ms. Truong My Hoa as Chairwoman of Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and Head of the "For Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club.
The spread lies in the fact that these activities are known by many people and are still strongly effective today. Many schools in remote and isolated areas, especially on Truong Sa Lon island, have been built from this fund" - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee shared.
The head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee affirmed that Ms. Truong My Hoa's example is a great source of inspiration for cadres, party members and people of the city in the process of continuing to strive and contribute to the common development.

Speaking at the ceremony, former Vice President Truong My Hoa was moved by the concern and affection of Ho Chi Minh City leaders, and thanked the Party and people for guiding and educating her to grow up during 65 years in the ranks of the Party.
