On the afternoon of June 30, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee held a conference to announce retirement decisions from July 1, 2025 for leaders under the management of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, including: Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee; Mr. Dang Ba Cuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Hong Bang District Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Mr. Pham Duc Tuyen, Judge of the People's Court, Member of the City Party Committee, Chief Justice of the Hai Phong City People's Court; Ms. Vu Thi Kim Lien, Member of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Women's Union and Mr. Duy Tung, Member of the City Party Committee, Chief Inspector.
Earlier, on the same morning, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City - was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal for his outstanding achievements in leadership and direction in ensuring social security, applying scientific and technological advances in Hai Phong City, contributing to the cause of building Socialism and defending the Fatherland.
From July 1, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province - was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the new Hai Phong City People's Committee. The Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee include Mr. Le Anh Quan (Standing Vice Chairman), Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Tran Van Quan and Nguyen Minh Hung.
