A good start to the new year
This morning (February 4), at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting of the Party Central Committee Secretariat to review the implementation of Directive No. 40-CT/TW of the Secretariat on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025; and directed a number of key tasks of the Central Committee and Party committees at all levels in the coming time.
The conference assessed that the Lunar New Year 2025 took place in a warm and safe atmosphere with beautiful weather, favorable for spring outings and New Year greetings.
The whole society has a joyful and excited atmosphere to welcome the new Spring and celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) with a new spirit, with many expectations for the great, revolutionary decisions of the Party and State in the past year.
Social policies during Tet were implemented "correctly, sufficiently, and promptly", localities supported and gave Tet gifts to over 13.5 million beneficiaries with a total budget of nearly 8,000 billion VND.
Concluding the conference, General Secretary To Lam commended and highly appreciated all levels, sectors, agencies, units and localities for thoroughly grasping and seriously and effectively implementing Directive No. 40 on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025; emphasizing that the success of Lunar New Year activities is a favorable starting point for a new year full of success for the country.
General Secretary To Lam also noted a number of issues that need to be evaluated and learned from to do better: Promoting the positive effects of Decree 168, it is necessary to continue to strengthen the work of ensuring traffic order and safety, forming awareness of strictly complying with traffic laws; synchronously implementing solutions to reduce congestion and traffic accidents;
Continue to strengthen the fight against crime, especially cyber fraud and crimes that take advantage of festivals to operate, and prevent complex crime from resuming after Tet; make an overall assessment of consumer demand and purchasing power during Tet to have solutions to manage production, orient the market, and "stimulate" domestic consumption...
Determined to achieve 8% growth target
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the General Secretary requested agencies, units and localities to immediately get back to work after the Tet holiday, not to let the situation of Tet holiday last longer, neglect work, focus on completing the work of February 2025 and the first quarter of 2025 on schedule; organize festivals at the beginning of the year to ensure safety and economy, strictly handle all forms of exploitation and distortion.
Ministries, sectors and localities focus on implementing Conclusion No. 121-KL/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Central Committee on summarizing Resolution 18-NQ/TW and the plan to reorganize the political system apparatus, ensuring that agencies after the reorganization start operating immediately, without interruption, without missing tasks; continue to do a good job of political and ideological education; well implement the regime and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers affected by the reorganization of the apparatus.
The General Secretary requested to carefully prepare the contents of the National Assembly session in February 2025, especially those related to the organization and apparatus arrangement and the removal of institutional difficulties and obstacles; promote the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, especially the tasks to be completed in the first quarter of 2025;
Determined to resolutely implement policies and solutions to achieve the GDP growth target of over 8% in 2025, creating momentum for double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period. All levels and sectors will deploy solutions for public investment disbursement from the beginning of the year, removing bottlenecks for socio-economic development.
The General Secretary emphasized that it is necessary to continue to lead and direct the implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated June 14, 2024 and the revised contents on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; effectively put into use the software to monitor the progress of Party Congresses at all levels via the VneID application;
Strengthen propaganda work, consolidate trust and social consensus on national development goals; effectively combat false and hostile arguments, bad and toxic information, especially on the internet.
