The International Financial Center in Vietnam needs to strongly aim for activities that directly contribute to the economy; build superior preferential policies.

On the morning of March 6, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh chaired a direct meeting combined with online meetings with a number of ministries, branches, central agencies and 2 localities, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, on the strategy of the International Financial Center in Vietnam; Development strategy of the International Financial Centers of Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang; Program and work plan of the Executive Council of the International Financial Center in Vietnam.

Concluding the meeting, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the Ministry of Finance, ministries, functional sectors and 2 cities for completing a relatively large volume of work in a very short time.

However, the wish of the General Secretary and the Prime Minister is that after its launch, the International Financial Center in Vietnam must have specific activities that directly contribute to the economy.

However, up to now, it has basically only focused on forming and consolidating the organizational structure, and the activities that directly contribute to the economy are still not clear.

The general spirit is to continue to implement tasks for the operation and development of the International Financial Center in Vietnam, in which on the one hand, it is necessary to ensure the construction and improvement of mechanisms and policies, human resources issues, and on the other hand, it is necessary to strongly aim for activities that directly contribute to the economy.

Regarding the operating regulations of the International Financial Center, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to coordinate with the Government Office to prepare to organize a working session chaired by the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, with the participation of relevant ministries and sectors to soon issue this regulation.

Regarding the program and work plan of the Executive Council of the International Finance Center in Vietnam, the Ministry of Finance needs to absorb the opinions expressed to supplement and improve.

The two cities (Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City) also base on this draft to develop specific plans and programs of the 2 operating agencies of the two cities.

At the same time, it is proposed that the two cities have at least one event each month to announce to the public, such as announcing the opening of a trading floor, a service on areas close to the requirements of economic, social development and people's lives.

Currently, the Ministry of Home Affairs has developed a draft Decree on specific mechanisms and policies for the Executive Council, and the two cities can rely on it to develop specific mechanisms and policies for their operating agencies.

At the same time, the two cities can also base on their development trends and potential to build specific mechanisms and policies that prioritize and offer superior incentives.

At the meeting, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister also directed and assigned specific tasks to ministries, functional sectors and 2 localities in perfecting mechanisms and policies, and implementing specific tasks related to the organization of dispute resolution agencies, specialized courts, supervisory agencies, and information technology infrastructure.
