On June 10, in Hanoi, the National Political Publishing House Truth, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) jointly organized the national scientific conference "New points in the Documents of the 14th National Party Congress: Thinking, Vision and National Development orientation".
Dr. Dinh Thi Mai - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth; Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities co-chaired the workshop.
Dr. Dinh Thi Mai - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, affirmed that the conference is a scientific forum for leaders, managers, experts and scientists to exchange, discuss, and contribute opinions to continue to improve theoretical awareness of the country's development path; clarify the opportunities and challenges posed in the new development era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise, propose solutions and recommendations to effectively implement the viewpoints, goals and major orientations set out by the 14th Party Congress.
Speaking to host the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth affirmed that the history of more than 96 years of leading the Vietnamese revolution shows that every step of the country's development is associated with the development in the Party's theoretical thinking.
The documents of the 14th Party Congress not only inherit and develop the Party's theoretical thinking through terms, but also show new developments in strategic awareness of the country's development model, the path to socialism in Vietnam and the methods of mobilizing, allocating, and using resources for development.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Trong Lam, the highlight of the 14th Party Congress Document is the increasingly clear appearance of constructive, innovative and breakthrough development thinking, from unlocking and maximizing all national resources, identifying science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the main path to expanding new development spaces such as digital space, innovation space, sea space, regional linkage and international integration.
In particular, the Document of the 14th Party Congress shows an important development in institutional thinking, development, long-term strategic vision on building an independent and self-reliant economy associated with deep international integration; developing the private economic sector to become the most important driving force of the national economy; building a modern national governance; promoting the cultural strength and Vietnamese people as an important endogenous resource for national development.
The presentations and opinions exchanged and discussed at the Conference contributed to deepening theoretical and practical issues raised in the process of implementing the Document of the 14th Party Congress; and at the same time proposed scientific arguments to serve the work of planning guidelines and policies for national development in the new period.
