New future for Vietnam - Belarus relations after the General Secretary's historic visit

The leaders of the Belarusese National Assembly assessed the agreements signed during General Secretary To Lam's visit as a new future for bilateral relations.

On May 12, within the framework of his state visit to the Republic of Belarus, in Minsk, General Secretary To Lam had a meeting with Chairman of the Republican Council (Chamber of Ministers) Natalya Kochanova, Chairman of the Delegation (lower house) Igor Sergeyenko and leaders of the Communist Party and the Russian Border Guard.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the leader of the National Assembly Belarus warmly welcomed General Secretary To Lam and the high -ranking delegation of Vietnam, representing the Vietnamese heroic people to visit the State Belarus at the occasion of the two countries solemnly celebrating the great events, including 80 years of fascist victory and 50 years of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

The Hungarian National Assembly is honored to send a delegation led by Vice President of the Institute of Delegates V. Ipatov to attend the 30th Anniversary Ceremony.

The leader of the National Assembly Belarus congratulated the Vietnamese people about the achievements in the country's development and congratulated General Secretary To Lam who was awarded the Friendship Medal by President A. Lukashenko, showing Belarus's recognition for the great contributions of the General Secretary to the two countries' relations.

The leaders of the Belarusese National Assembly assessed the visit of General Secretary To Lam as a historic visit and the agreements signed during the visit as a new future for bilateral relations.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional friendship with Belarus established in 1957 when President Ho Chi Minh visited Belarus and thanked Belarus for its sincere assistance in the past struggle for national liberation, national reunification and Vietnam's development today.

General Secretary To Lam and the leaders of the National Assembly Belarus agreed to bring bilateral relations in the new period in the new development era with specific measures. In the spirit of the strategic partnership that the two sides have just upgraded, in the context of the world there are many complicated fluctuations, the leaders agreed to strengthen the exchange and contact at all levels, especially high -level, increasing import and export turnover, science - technology, education - training, culture and tourism with the review of early air routes, people exchange, further strengthening cooperation between localities.

Regarding parliamentary cooperation and party-channel cooperation, the two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges through the National Assembly and Party channels, strengthen supervision of signed documents, especially the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the ASEAN-EU; increase information and experience exchanges in Party work, legislative work, experience in parliamentary activities, increase exchanges between professional committees, groups of friends of parliamentarians and young parliamentarians; support each other at multilateral political forums, inter-parliamentary forums such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) ... towards having common initiatives at international parliamentary forums.
