On March 2nd, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City coordinated with the People's Committee, the City Election Committee and the wards: Hoi An, Hoi An Dong, Hoi An Tay to organize a meeting between voters and candidates for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026-2031, presenting the action program as prescribed by law at constituency No. 4, Da Nang City.
Among them, 5 people participating in the National Assembly Deputy election are: Mr. Ta Van Ha - Member of the Party Committee Executive Committee, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society; Mr. Nguyen Khanh Ngoc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Central Vietnam Lawyers Association; Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Head of the Democracy, Supervision and Social Criticism Committee, Da Nang City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Agency; Ms. Pham Thi Trang - Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee, Da Nang City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Agency.
At the conference, Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh, Chairwoman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, candidate for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026-2031, presented an action program with a focus on protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of trade union members and workers.
Attached to the Trade Union organization and the workers' movement for many years, Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh affirmed that workers are the core force in socio-economic development, and also an important socio-political foundation contributing to maintaining stability and sustainable development of the locality and the country. Therefore, if trusted by voters, she will play a good role as a representative of the voice of workers and laborers in the National Assembly.
According to the action program, Ms. Linh identified protecting workers' rights as a xuyên suốt task. The focus is on listening to and promptly reflecting workers' recommendations to the National Assembly; participating in building and perfecting policies directly related to employment, wages, social insurance, safety, and occupational hygiene; promoting vocational training and creating sustainable jobs in the context of international integration and digital transformation.
In addition, the candidate also emphasized the role of social security policies in stable development. According to Ms. Linh, it is necessary to continue to review and improve policies to ensure comprehensive coverage and effective support for vulnerable groups such as people with meritorious services, the elderly, people with disabilities, and workers in difficult circumstances; and at the same time strengthen supervision to ensure that policies are implemented publicly, transparently, and to the right people.
As a person born and raised in Da Nang, if elected as a National Assembly Deputy of the 16th term, I will focus on playing a good bridge role between the city and the Central Government to effectively implement the superior mechanisms and policies of the Central Government for Da Nang; continue to propose more favorable mechanisms for the city's development, thereby building Da Nang city to develop faster and faster, truly a place worth going to and living in," Ms. Linh emphasized.
