At the National Scientific Conference “Theoretical and practical issues on building culture in the Party in the new period” held this afternoon (January 15), many opinions expressed by experts and scientists contributed to analyzing and explaining theoretical and practical issues and solutions related to building culture in the Party in the new period.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Dinh Phong - Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - emphasized that culture within the Party is the key, the foundation to maintain the Party's ruling role, to make the Party clean and strong; to make the Party's will connect with the people's will, and the people's will connect with the Party's will.
“The culture of cadres and party members is the “gene” of the Party organization, creating the sustainability and purity of the Party. Culture must be brought into the regulatory system of the Party body, and culture within the Party must become the center of the Party Platform” - Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Dinh Phong emphasized.
Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung - former Vice President of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts - emphasized that the issue of culture in the Party is "a strategic issue in Party building today and tomorrow". Because currently, besides the achievements, there are also signs of cultural degradation in the Party and in society.
Professor Dr. Dinh Xuan Dung repeated President Ho Chi Minh's saying: "Our Party is moral and civilized"; emphasizing that, according to Uncle Ho's saying, our Party is civilized, meaning the quintessence and pinnacle of culture.
"When talking about culture within the Party, or Party culture, we are talking about the cultural quintessence of the nation," Professor Dung also acknowledged that culture within the Party must be a pioneering culture, an exemplary culture. Party members and cadres must set an example. All activities of the Party must demonstrate culture within the Party, in relations with the people, in social management and administration, in relations with other countries...
Mr. Dung also emphasized the factor of turning political awareness into cultural values and qualities of communists and party members.
In his speech at the workshop, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Chuan - Vice President of the Vietnam Philosophy Association - also emphasized that the fight against corruption, waste, negativity, and handling of violating officials is a great effort in Party building and rectification.
The national scientific conference "Theoretical and practical issues on building culture in the Party in the new period" was organized by the Central Propaganda Department in coordination with the Central Theoretical Council, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Truth National Political Publishing House and a number of relevant agencies.
