According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on June 30, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc led the Vietnamese delegation to attend the opening session of the FfD4 Conference.
At the opening session of the conference, leaders agreed to accept the Seville Commitment to establish a comprehensive framework to address current financial challenges, especially mobilizing $4,000 billion for sustainable development goals.
On the evening of June 30, at a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc respectfully conveyed the greetings of Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the Spanish Prime Minister and congratulated Spain on hosting the FfD4 Conference, believing that the success of the conference will contribute significantly to shaping the framework and prioritizing financial cooperation, accelerating the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Welcoming the Vietnamese government's sending of senior leaders to attend the FfD4 Conference, the Spanish Prime Minister reaffirmed his importance and high attention to promoting cooperation with Vietnam, one of Spain's priority partners in Southeast Asia; recalled the contents discussed with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, thereby, saying that the two countries still have a lot of room to promote cooperation, especially in the economic field.
According to VNA, within the framework of his working trip to Spain, on June 30, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc visited the Airbus Factory in Seville.
The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged the proposal to strengthen cooperation with Viettel Group in the field of helicopter manufacturing and suggested that Airbus continue to support human resource training, technology transfer, engineering and maintenance to contribute to the development of Vietnam's aviation industry.
