On March 24, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense - held talks with Polish Deputy Minister of National Defense Pawel Bejda, who is visiting and working in Vietnam.
At the talks, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien affirmed that Vietnam is consistent with its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations; persistent in its "four no's" defense policy; persistent in fighting to resolve all disputes and disagreements by peaceful means on the basis of international law.

Vietnam's consistent stance on resolving the East Sea issue is that relevant parties need to comply with international practices and laws, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS); comply with the Declaration on the Conduct of the Parties in the East Sea (DOC), promote the early completion of negotiations and sign the Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC) in a practical and effective manner.
