On the afternoon of August 26, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, General Secretary and President To Lam received Comrade Vanhxay Phongsavanh, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, State Inspector General, Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Commission of Laos and the Lao High-Level Delegation who are on a visit and working trip to Vietnam.
At the reception, General Secretary and President To Lam welcomed Comrade Vanhxay Phongsavanh and the high-level delegation of the Central Inspection Committee and the State Inspectorate of Laos to visit and work in Vietnam; highly appreciated the significance of the visit in the context that the two Parties and two States are actively implementing the Resolutions of each Party; high-level agreements, continuing to effectively implement and deepen the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic linkage between Vietnam and Laos.
General Secretary and President To Lam warmly congratulated the great, comprehensive and historical achievements that Laos has achieved after 40 years of renovation, and at the same time expressed his belief that, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and with the comprehensive renovation policy, the country and people of fraternal Laos will continue to achieve new and greater achievements in the renovation process, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress, the 5th Five-Year Socio-Economic Development Plan for the period 2026 - 2030, building a peaceful, stable, unified and prosperous Laos; affirmed that Vietnam always values and gives the highest priority to consolidating and developing Vietnam-Laos relations; considering this a particularly meaningful relationship, which has been painstakingly nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, becoming a common and invaluable asset of the two nations; Vietnam and Laos always stand shoulder to shoulder, sharing difficulties, and supporting each other in the cause of fighting for national independence.
Comrade Vanhxay Phongsavanh expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Vietnam for the first time in his new position; respectfully thanked General Secretary and President To Lam for taking the time to receive the delegation; reported to General Secretary and President To Lam some highlights about the situation in Laos, the work results of the Central Inspection Committee of the People's Revolutionary Party, the State Inspectorate of Laos in the past time; the main activities of the visit, especially the results of the very successful meeting between the two Central Inspection Committees of the two Parties and between the State Inspectorate of Laos and the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam.
Highly appreciating the results of the talks and working sessions of Comrade Vanhxay Phongsavanh during this visit, General Secretary and President To Lam praised and emphasized the close cooperation between the two sides in the past time, which has contributed to the effective implementation of high-level agreements between the two Parties and the two countries, fostering the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos; proposed that in the coming time, the two sides should continue to sincerely exchange and share experiences, advise the two Parties and two States to improve institutions and related regulations and laws, contributing to building a clean and strong Party, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; maintain strict discipline and order in the Party; prevent violations, corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; contribute to maintaining discipline and order of each Party and each State, ensuring that high-level agreements are implemented seriously and effectively, creating a favorable environment for bilateral cooperation.
The two sides need to continue to support and help each other in building a team of inspection and examination officials, promote training, fostering, seminars and practical research to build a team of inspection and examination officials with political bravery, integrity, objectivity, impartiality and professionalism; agencies need to develop specific and practical cooperation programs, associated with products that can be applied in the practice of each country.
Comrade Vanhxay Phongsavanh affirmed that the Party and State of Laos always cherish and deeply appreciate the great, precious, righteous, and sincere assistance that the Party and State of Vietnam have given to Laos over the past time; highly appreciate the concern, creation of conditions, and support of senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam for the very effective cooperation between the two inspection and examination agencies of the two countries in the past time; affirmed that it will closely coordinate with the Central Inspection Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam to effectively implement high-level agreements between the leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, bringing cooperation between the two Commissions and between the two Government Inspectorates to become increasingly in-depth, practical, and effective.
