On the morning of December 15, at Hung Vuong Square, Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province, the Ministry of Public Security held the opening ceremony of the 9th National Security Sports Congress and the 6th Public Security Regulations, Military and Martial Arts Competition, Region 2, 2024.
The congress has the participation of nearly 3,500 officers and soldiers from the Police of 21 provinces and cities in the Northern region. The teams will compete in the following events: Strong Police Soldiers, shooting, 7-a-side men's football, team review, martial arts and demolition situations, command theory, team, application running, police ceremony and martial arts, etc.
At the opening ceremony, the police force brought to the audience beautiful and attractive martial arts performances such as qigong, physical destruction and professional situations, etc.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan - Director of the Department of Party and Political Work emphasized: "The Health Congress and Competition are not only an opportunity to evaluate the results and quality of the physical training and sports movement and the results of training in regulations, military and martial arts of the Public Security of units and localities, but also to commend the force to promote the emulation movement "For the security of the Fatherland", practically celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for the Protection of National Security.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan requested that the Public Security of units and localities participating in the health congress and competition must not only bring a competitive spirit and determination to compete to win the highest prize, but also be humble in learning, maintain solidarity, comradeship and team spirit; participating officers and soldiers must strictly implement the Public Security regulations, regulations, rules and regulations of the locality, compete with the spirit of "Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility - Progress - Fairness - Objectivity", and devote themselves to the success of the health congress and competition".
After the opening ceremony, the teams participating in the congress competed in the team review, martial arts situations and demolition at Hung Vuong Square, Viet Tri City under the enthusiastic cheers of thousands of spectators.
