Asking the Prime Minister for advice on handling illegal documents

Some documents were reported to the Prime Minister for comments on handling to ensure legality and address practical requirements in state management.

On November 4, information from the Ministry of Justice said that the Department of Inspection of Legal Normative Documents held a meeting with representatives of ministries and ministerial-level agencies on the situation and results of handling illegal documents under the direction of the Government leaders.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ho Quang Huy, Director of the Department of Inspection of Legal Normative Documents; attended by representatives of units advising on drafting documents with illegal content that need to be handled under the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance, and Government Inspectorate.

Based on Report No. 385/BC-BTP dated September 20 of the Ministry of Justice on the direction of handling illegal documents, the Government leaders have issued instructions in Official Dispatch No. 7007/VPCP-PL dated September 30. Accordingly, the agencies with illegal documents mentioned in Report No. 385/BC-BTP must urgently handle the documents and send the handling results to the Ministry of Justice for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister.

In case the agencies issuing the documents fail to handle them within the prescribed time limit, the Ministry of Justice shall synthesize, report and recommend to the Prime Minister to suspend or abolish, according to its authority, the illegal contents of these documents.

At the meeting, representatives of ministries and ministerial-level agencies informed about the progress and results of document processing, explained some problems and difficulties in the document processing process as well as the requirements of practical management of the sector and field.

Basically, the documents are currently being urgently implemented by agencies in the process of issuing documents to handle illegal content. Many handling documents have been appraised and are being submitted to the Ministry's leaders for consideration, expected to be issued in November 2024.

Some documents have also been reported by agencies to seek the Prime Minister's opinion on handling directions to both ensure the legality of regulations and address practical requirements in state management.

At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Inspection of Legal Documents clarified the legality of the regulations that needed to be processed, emphasizing the requirements for document processing progress.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ho Quang Huy - Director of the Department of Inspection of Legal Normative Documents acknowledged the results and progress of handling illegal documents based on information provided by representatives of agencies at the meeting, and requested the agencies to promptly handle the documents and provide the handling results to the Ministry of Justice (Department of Inspection of Legal Normative Documents) in accordance with the Government's direction.
