At the "Honoring Businesses for Agricultural and Rural Industry Development 2026" program held on July 23, 2026, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) was honored in the Top 10 businesses for agricultural and rural industrial development.
The program is organized by the Vietnam Association of Agricultural Machinery in coordination with the Rural Industry Magazine, within the framework of the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnam International Agricultural Machinery Technology Exhibition 2026 (CIAME Asia Vietnam 2026).
The event aims to recognize and honor typical businesses, corporations and economic organizations with outstanding achievements in production, business, investment, application of science and technology, digital transformation and innovation, thereby making positive contributions to the overall development of Vietnam's agricultural economic ecosystem.
Assessing the significance of the event, Mr. Le Ngoc Anh, Editor-in-Chief of Rural Industry Magazine, emphasized that the announcement of units at CIAME Asia Vietnam 2026 not only recognizes achievements and practical contributions, but also is a clear proof of the prestige, capacity and position of enterprises in the market.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of CIAME Asia Vietnam 2026, Mr. Le Duc Thinh, Director of the Department of Cooperative Economics and Rural Development (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) said that agricultural mechanization in Vietnam in recent years has recorded many positive changes. Many production stages have achieved high mechanization rates, domestic enterprises are gradually mastering technology, and digital transformation, artificial intelligence and automation solutions are being applied more and more widely in agricultural product management and processing.
However, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment also noted that the development potential of the industry is still very large due to the disparity in the level of mechanization between regions and industries. In the context of scattered production and small-scale households accounting for a large proportion, promoting mechanization services through cooperatives and service businesses will be the key for people to access advanced technology at reasonable costs, in line with the policy of cooperative economic development and value chain linkage.
In particular, leaders of the Department of Cooperative Economics and Rural Development believe that modern mechanization today is not simply machines operating in the fields, but has become a complete ecosystem. There, technology, data, logistics, finance and technical services are synchronously connected to move towards an efficient, sustainable and low-emission agricultural value chain.

Affirming the role of a key commercial bank in investing in "Tam nong" development, Agribank currently allocates nearly 65% of the outstanding loan balance to lending to agriculture, farmers, and rural areas, reaching more than 1.32 million billion VND.
In which, Agribank is the pioneering and key bank to implement loans to support reduced losses in agriculture according to Decision 68/2013/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, creating favorable conditions to help people have more resources to invest in expanding production, applying mechanization, science and technology to serve agricultural production, and improve labor productivity.
In order to realize the orientation of promoting agricultural mechanization, recently, Agribank has implemented the preferential loan program "Mechanization - Enhancing Agricultural Value" with a scale of 2,000 billion VND, to support people to invest in machinery and equipment serving agricultural production. The program applies until May 14, 2027, for individual customers who need to borrow capital to buy 100% new machinery and equipment under the agricultural mechanization service list. Customers can borrow short-term, medium-term or long-term loans by lending method, with a limit of up to 100% of capital needs, preferential interest rate from 5.8% per year.
Being honored as "Enterprise for Agriculture and Rural Industry Development 2026" is the motivation for Agribank to continue to pioneer in providing comprehensive financial solutions, accompanying the agricultural sector in the journey of digital transformation, synchronous mechanization and towards the goal of green and sustainable development.
