Within the framework of the working session, on behalf of the Vietnam Women's Union, Ms. Tran Lan Phuong presented Nestle Vietnam General Director with the "For the Development of Vietnamese Women" Medal for Nestle's positive contributions to the implementation of goals of promoting gender equality, empowering women as well as building Vietnamese women in the new era through the cooperation program between the two sides.
Based on the common commitment and goal of promoting gender equality, Nestle Vietnam and the Vietnam Women's Union have officially signed a cooperation agreement since December 2020 to implement the program "Nestle accompanies women". The program aims to promote gender equality activities, increase women's empowerment through health care, nutrition, ensuring safety for women and children, digital applications, supporting women to start businesses, increasing income, improving the quality of life, contributing to supporting women in comprehensive development in the digital transformation period. By the end of 2024, the program has helped equip knowledge and skills for more than 25,400 members, helping more than 2 million households access knowledge about nutrition, food safety and hygiene, helping to create and maintain thousands of sustainable livelihood models for women.

Sharing at the meeting, Ms. Tran Lan Phuong said, The Vietnam Womens Union highly appreciated Nestle Vietnams companionship and cooperation with the Unions movements through the Nestle accompanies womens program. The program provides women with more knowledge, skills to access and apply digital technology, more income to improve the quality of family life, enhance power and boldness. Through the program, women's union members have confidently contributed to realizing the criteria of the Campaign "5 no 3 clean", "5 no 3 clean",..., supporting women in comprehensive development in the digital transformation period, contributing to the implementation of the goals set by the 13th National Congress of Women's Representatives. In the coming time, the two sides will discuss specific directions for integrating this cooperation program into major government projects such as the women's startup program to be able to approach and bring practical results to more members."

Based on the assessment and recognition of the above positive contributions, at the meeting, Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, on behalf of the Vietnam Women's Union, presented Mr. Binu Jacob, General Director of Nestle Vietnam, with the "For the development of Vietnamese women" medal. Mr. Binu Jacob said Nestle Vietnam appreciates the recognition of the Vietnam Womens Union and considers this an important motivation to continue implementing effective cooperation activities between the two sides, helping female members, especially women in rural areas, have the opportunity to develop themselves, truly affirm their position in the family as well as in work, and be ready to adapt and rise up with Vietnam in the new era.
