On the morning of March 29, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province held a meeting with businesses and investors in the first quarter of 2025.
Set a minimum economic growth target of 8%
In 2024, the world and domestic economic situation will continue to develop complicatedly, causing many challenges for the production and business activities of enterprises in Quang Binh province. However, thanks to the strong direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, along with the efforts of the business community, the province's socio-economic situation has still achieved many encouraging results.
Last year, all levels and sectors have synchronously implemented solutions such as disbursing public investment capital, developing land funds, removing difficulties for production and business and collecting state budget revenue.
Thanks to that, in 2024, Quang Binh achieved and exceeded 24/25 main targets compared to the set plan. The economy is stable and growing quite well, the agricultural, industrial and service sectors all have positive signals.
In particular, agricultural production has achieved high results with increased rice productivity compared to the previous year. The processing and manufacturing industry continues to remain stable, while the service and tourism sectors are developing vibrantly with many cultural and sports events attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
At the Business Meeting Conference for the first quarter of 2025, Mr. Tran Hai Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - affirmed the important role of the business community in the socio-economic development of the province.
In 2025, Quang Binh sets a minimum economic growth target of 8%, which is a challenging goal but also an opportunity to affirm the province's position and potential. To achieve this goal, the contribution of businesses and investors is extremely important" - Mr. Tran Hai Chau said.
Promoting the private economy
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also clearly stated the development orientation of the province in the coming time, focusing on improving the investment environment and promoting the private economy. He expressed his hope that the business community will continue to accompany and contribute to help the province overcome challenges and achieve sustainable development goals.
