Dak Nong Power Company (PC Dak Nong) has promoted and instructed customers on safe electricity use measures.

Preventing electrical incidents during the rainy season

It is currently the rainy season, a time when there are many potential risks of electrical accidents. In order to ensure the safety of people's lives and property and maintain stable power supply, PC Dak Nong has proactively implemented many effective response measures.

Right from the beginning of the rainy season, PC Dak Nong has planned to periodically and suddenly inspect the power grid system, transformer stations, power poles... in vulnerable areas, areas prone to flooding or at risk of landslides. unsafe equipment has been repaired and replaced promptly, ensuring stable operation during heavy rain and strong winds.

In parallel with technical work, every year, the company organizes drills to handle power outages and landslides during the rainy season; restore power supply after storms... The drill aims to improve the capacity of rescue forces, be ready to handle quickly when incidents occur, ensure continuous, smooth and safe operation of the power grid.

In recent times, PC Dak Nong has made many efforts in handling power grid incidents due to heavy rain and strong winds. The company has set up power lines, ensured safety and urgently mobilized forces to handle incidents, restore power sources for important loads, central areas, densely populated areas... to serve stable daily life, ensuring people's lives.

To ensure electrical safety during the rainy and stormy season, PC Dak Nong coordinates with local authorities to carry out electrical safety propaganda among the people and manage and protect the power grid safety corridor to prevent and combat accidents that occur during the rainy and stormy season.

The affiliated power forces have increased on-site inspections to promptly detect locations violating the high-voltage power grid safety corridor, closely coordinating with localities to participate in resolving each violation. At the same time, actively propagate and instruct people to strictly follow the principles of electrical safety.

Recommending people and businesses to use electricity safely

People are advised not to climb electric poles alone to check and repair when it rains and is windy; at the same time, it is necessary to cut off the power supply to outdoor installed equipment such as signs and billboards when there is heavy rain and strong winds.

When detecting signs of unsafety, people need to promptly notify the electricity industry or local authorities for handling.

Identifying propaganda work as one of the effective solutions to help people raise awareness of safe electricity use, PC Dak Nong has directed units to deploy many diverse forms of communication, close to the people.

In the context of increasing extreme weather, proactively preventing electrical accidents is a key factor to protect people's lives and property. Therefore, each citizen and each family needs to raise their vigilance, follow safety instructions properly, and contribute to building a safe community.
