In October 2024, Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) directed and operated units to produce, screen, and consume coal according to plan, prepare sources and consumption, coordinate production plan operations, quickly overcome the consequences of storms and stabilize production again.
Raw coal production reached 3.08 million tons, consumption 3.39 million tons; excavated soil reached 13.3 million m3; tunnel excavation reached 24,296 meters.
Converted alumina mineral production reached 106 thousand tons, consumption 142 thousand tons. Copper concentrate production reached 8.17 thousand tons, production of 2,460 tons of copper plate; 826 tons of zinc ingots; 12,650 thousand tons of steel billets.
In addition, 720 million kWh of electricity was produced and consumed; 6,300 tons of explosives were produced and 9,000 tons were consumed. 18,500 tons of Ammonium Nitrate were produced and 14,900 tons were consumed.
Completing basic targets according to the operating plan, brought TKV's total revenue in October 2024 to 13,430 billion VND.
Thus, in the first 10 months, the total revenue of TKV Group is estimated at 137,157 billion VND, equal to 102.5% compared to the same period. Commercial coal reached 40.98 million tons; raw coal production reached 30.66 million tons; excavated soil and rock reached 118.1 million m3. The total number of tunnel meters reached 218,415 meters.
Consumed 37.76 million tons of coal, of which 32.37 million tons were supplied to households for electricity. Produced 1.153 million tons of converted alumina, consumed 1.17 million tons. Copper concentrate 93.54 thousand tons, copper plate produced 24,550 tons, consumed 23,902 tons, zinc ingots 7,700 tons, steel billets 138.92 thousand tons. Produced 7.744 billion kWh.
The indicators of chemicals and industrial explosives are also basically completed.
Entering November 2024, TKV will resolutely direct, urge, closely coordinate, and make efforts of all units, focusing all resources to operate all production and business activities, striving to complete the 2024 plan.
TKV implements the November 2024 production and business plan with a number of key targets. Producing 14.27 million tons of raw coal; 10.95 million m3 of stripped soil; 23,655 thousand meters of tunnel; consuming 4.06 million tons of coal.
It is expected that Alumina products will reach 112 thousand tons, copper concentrate will reach 7,062 tons, copper plates will reach 2,745 tons... The target is to produce 845 million kWh of electricity, 7,000 tons of explosives, and 19,000 tons of Ammonium Nitrate.
To complete the set targets, TKV Group will continue to overcome storm damage and stabilize production; continue to direct coal production units to be proactive and flexible, maximize resources and equipment capacity to increase labor productivity, and compensate for the output shortage when production has to stop due to the impact of storms;
At the same time, reserve and supply enough coal to serve electricity production and the economy, increase coal export output, and consume high-quality coal varieties.
