Responding to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day June 5, 2025, units in the electricity industry, especially thermal power plants, including Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant, Mong Duong Ward, Quang Ninh Province, have been implementing many practical activities to achieve the dual goal: ensuring stable and safe electricity production and associated with environmental protection responsibility.
At Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant, environmental protection is always identified as one of the key tasks in production and business activities.
Aiming for sustainable development, the factory has proactively implemented many synchronous solutions in environmental management, such as:
- Strengthen control of emissions, wastewater and solid waste through an automatic monitoring system, ensuring that parameters are always within the permitted limits.
- Reuse the ashes from the coal burning process to make filling materials and construction materials; gradually reduce pressure on the landfill and contribute to the circular economy.
- Greening the factory premises, expanding the area of planting trees and perennial trees to improve the micro-climate, reduce dust and noise.
- Re-planning the area for livestock and vegetable growing, gradually building an ecological model in the management and operation and repair area, harmoniously linking production and the lives of staff and workers.
In addition, during this year's Environmental Action Month, the People's Artist of Mongolia 1 also organized many internal propaganda activities such as: hanging banners, launching the "5S - Green - Clean - Beautiful" movement, general cleaning of the work area, taking care of green gardens, to raise awareness of environmental protection for all workers.
With the message "Green Environment Index is a Sustainable Development Index", every officer, engineer, and worker at the factory is making efforts every day to maintain a clean and beautiful working environment, operating the factory safely, effectively, and environmentally friendly.
Power production goes hand in hand with environmental protection, not only a goal, but also a long-term commitment of mong Duong 1 energy company in its journey of sustainable development, actively contributing to national energy security and the overall environmental protection of the country.
Not only re-planning the vegetable garden and livestock area in the management and operation and repair area, Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant also focuses on planting perennial crops in the factory premises. This is one of the solutions to improve the ecological environment, create a cool green landscape, and at the same time contribute to minimizing the impact of industrial emissions.
In May, Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant directed units to actively increase the greening of production areas with perennial crops such as: sim garden managed by the Operation workshop, EVN symbolic garden managed by the Labor Union Department...
Recognizing its role in the sustainable development of the country, Mong Duong Thermal Power Company always ensures stable production associated with environmental protection.
