Implementing the Key Work Program of the Party Executive Committee of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant (abbreviated as Factory) in 2025, the Party Committee and the Factory Trade Union have just held a working session to evaluate the results of the implementation of trade union work in the past time, and discuss key tasks and solutions in the coming time.
The meeting demonstrated the spirit of solidarity and unity for the purpose of better caring for workers and promoting the sustainable development of the factory.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Vu Thanh Hai - Party Committee Secretary, Factory Director; members of the Factory Party Committee Executive Committee. On the side of the Trade Union, there were Mr. Tran Ngoc Huong - Member of the Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Factory Trade Union; Ms. Truong Thi Kim Lien - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union, along with officials in the Trade Union Executive Committee, the Trade Union Inspection Committee, representatives of the Departmental Trade Unions and the affiliated Trade Union Group.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Factory Party Committee emphasized the importance of the working session in the context that the entire political system of the Factory is striving to innovate and improve operational efficiency towards workers.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Ngoc Huong reported on the activities of the Factory Trade Union from 2024 to June 2025, emphasizing the following outstanding results: Caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; coordinating the effective implementation of social security programs, cultural and sports activities; actively participating in the development of policies and regulations related to workers' rights; promoting emulation movements, initiatives, and technical improvements at the unit.
In particular, activities during Workers' Month 2025 are organized synchronously and practically, creating a positive spillover effect among all cadres, workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD). The Trade Union has proactively coordinated to organize many sports festivals, competitions, propaganda and social security programs with a total accumulated budget of up to billions of VND - clearly demonstrating the shock role of the Trade Union organization in the life of the factory.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vu Thanh Hai - Party Secretary, Factory Director acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts, proactiveness and creativity of the Trade Union in accompanying the profession, especially in the context of the Factory performing dual tasks: both ensuring safe and stable electricity production and taking good care of workers.
Mr. Hai also suggested that the Trade Union continue to promote its role as a bridge between workers and professionals; strengthen supervision of the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations; be more proactive in internal communication, promptly grasp public opinion and orient information within the unit.
The meeting also agreed on solutions to improve the effectiveness of Trade Union activities in the coming time, with 5 key tasks:
Continue to accompany in digital transformation, improve the efficiency of operation and development of digital trade unions.
Strengthen training and fostering of Trade Union cadres with professional qualifications to meet new requirements.
Promote patriotic emulation movements, initiatives - technical improvements, contributing to the successful implementation of production - business tasks.
better care for the material and spiritual life of workers, especially those in difficult circumstances.
Ensure the comprehensive leadership of the Party over Trade Union activities, effectively linking political organizations throughout the Factory.
The meeting ended in an exciting and consensusful atmosphere, clearly demonstrating the spirit of "joining hands - accompanying - towards workers", creating a solid foundation for the Trade Union to continue to affirm its role as an organization representing, protecting and accompanying workers, contributing to the construction of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant to develop more and more sustainably, modernly and humanely.
