This is an important step forward for HDBank in the international capital market, successfully following the issuance of VND3,000 billion of domestic green bonds at the end of 2024.
This issuance includes 50,000 bonds, with a total face value of 50 million USD (Bround 1) with a term of 3 years, within HDBank's International Green Bond Program, including two individual issuances with a total value of 100 million USD. The bonds are unconverted, without collateral and do not have collateral. Saigon Securities Company (SSI) is the document consulting unit.
Capital from international green bonds helps HDBank diversify financial resources, improve risk management capacity, expand participation in renewable energy projects, green projects, electric vehicles and energy-saving solutions. The capital from this issuance for IFC can support at least 50 customers to implement green projects, contributing to reducing about 100,500 tons of CO2 per year, contributing positively to Vietnam's Net Zero 2050 target.
Previously, IFC supported HDBank in developing and promulgating a Sustainable Finance Framework according to international standards on sustainable finance by the end of 2024, paving the way for the bank's green and sustainable bond issuance activities.

With the successful issuance of international green bonds this time, HDBank continues to affirm its reputation in the international capital market, while consolidating its pioneering position in combining business growth, sustainable governance and community development.
