The reality TV show “New Generation Students 2024” season 2 with the final round broadcast live on November 9, 2024.

In addition to focusing on community engagement in their projects, all three finalists incorporated the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies into their plans. This helped them communicate their ideas more visually and find new approaches to solving social problems.
The winning team, University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, brought to the competition the project “Sign by Sign”, a sign language system that supports communication for the hearing impaired by converting sign language into text or voice. This system provides a more accessible and convenient method of communication for both users and listeners.
As the champion of the program, the student team from the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, won a prize worth VND 200,000,000 and the Most Favorite Team Prize worth VND 50,000,000 from Herbalife.
“Aloi” is an environmental project by students from the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. The project introduces an environmentally friendly food wrap made from aloe vera, providing a safe and natural food preservation solution, replacing traditional plastic products, contributing to reducing plastic waste.
The “Tell Me” project, developed by a team of students from Hanoi Medical University, is an online psychological counseling platform specifically for patients’ relatives. This initiative aims to support the mental health of caregivers, who often have to bear the burden of stress and anxiety during the treatment of their loved ones.

The “New Generation Students 2024” program has attracted more than 200 entries from thousands of students from 50 universities nationwide. Students are extremely excited about the opportunity to learn and compete in many different areas, including teamwork, leadership, presentation, project management and creativity.
The three teams selected for the final round went through four extremely intense rounds: Project summary report; Feedback; Calling for investment from the Investment Jury; and finally “New generation students - Who are we?”.
