According to Mr. Bui Duy Tuan - owner of the GMS dealer system - the reason for this "big win" comes from the confidence in the number 1 quality of Vietnamese electric motorbikes and the long-term business potential when more and more users choose VinFast electric vehicles.

Why did you choose to sell VinFast electric motorbikes - a brand that is quite new compared to traditional gasoline cars - to start a business?
- I originally majored in automobiles and specialized vehicles at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Before becoming an electric motorbike distributor, I worked for many years at many different car companies in Vietnam. I myself always want to contribute my part to the mission of providing green, smart electric vehicles.
Therefore, in October 2024, I and my friends decided to start a business, establishing an electric motorbike trading company VinFast, named GMS. At first, we had 3 locations including sales and service workshops.
Investing in 3 VinFast electric motorbike business establishments and service workshops at the same time requires a huge investment capital. This decision for a newly started a business seems quite risky, sir?
- I think differently. I assess VinFast is on the right track. The environment is always an issue that the whole society is concerned about. Major cities such as Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City have recently been facing poor air quality. Currently, there are also many people interested in electric motorbikes. Therefore, in the coming time, electric motorbikes will have many opportunities to develop.

So, in your opinion, what are your opportunities with VinFast electric cars?
- I have experienced many different car models and rate VinFast electric motorbikes as one of the highest quality in Vietnam. Experts also recognize VinFast as having the best durability in the market.
VinFast cars use LFP batteries, a 5-year unlimited distance warranty - the highest policy today, creating a great advantage in conquering customers.
Recently, VinFast launched Motio with a cute design, suitable for students and many other customer groups. The spacious footrest makes it easy for housewives to carry their belongings when going to the market.
The new product lines promise to help VinFast develop strongly in 2025 and beyond.

What is the actual business situation at your stores?
- The situation is very positive. For example, a shop at 9 Nguyen Xien Street (Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi) has only been selling cars for 3 weeks but sales are almost at the target for the whole month. Therefore, I believe that the store will exceed the original plan.

What are the types of GMS customers and what do they say about VinFast electric vehicles?
- Our customers are mainly under 50 years old, diverse in occupations such as students, office workers, motorbike taxi drivers. These are people who are exposed to social networks and a lot of information every day. Therefore, not only young people under 25 years old, 25-50 years old, have had more open thinking, ready to accept new technologies and new trends.
After use, most people rate electric vehicles as having a better driving feeling than gasoline vehicles, a strong engine, fast acceleration, and no delays. In addition, the cost of use and warranty for maintenance is also very economical. Therefore, many people are currently switching from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles.
For sales and after-sales services, customers are appreciated for enthusiastic advice, the technical team can promptly handle vehicle problems.
With VinFast in business cooperation, what expectations do you have in 2025 as well as the following years?
- I hope VinFast will have more products, from there, we and other dealers - "teams on the same side" will join hands to bring many VinFast electric motorbikes to the market, dominating the 2-wheel vehicle market.
For us alone, this year, GMS wishes to open 2-3 more facilities. If possible, we will have 5-6 facilities in the GMS electric motorbike system in 2025.
