Within the framework of preparation for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Roscongress Foundation, Mr. Alexander Stuglev, emphasized the role of international business platforms in strengthening economic relations between Russia and Vietnam: "Cooperation between our two countries continues to develop, and the importance of maintaining this effective relationship is undeniable. Vietnam holds a special position in Russia's foreign policy.
The Roscongress Foundation plays the role of organizing major international events on conferences, exhibitions, business and public activities, including SPIEF. In 2025, the Forum gathered more than 24,000 delegates from 144 countries and territories.

Vietnam has always been one of the countries actively participating in SPIEF. According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, by the end of 2025, bilateral trade between Russia and Vietnam had grown by 6%. He also highlighted cooperation prospects in many fields, and invited Vietnamese partners to attend the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026) taking place from June 3 to 6, as well as the Eastern Economic Forum expected to be held from September 1 to 4.
