Promoting the tradition of great national solidarity, responding to the call of General Secretary, President To Lam and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with the spirit of "Mutual love and support", "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", the Trade Union of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) launched a campaign for all staff and employees to donate 1 day's salary to support localities and people to overcome difficulties. The estimated amount of support is over 20 billion VND.
With donations from staff and employees across the system, Agribank hopes to provide more resources to the political system and localities to support people in storm and flood affected areas to quickly overcome the damage.
Previously, at the launching ceremony of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Agribank donated 2 billion VND, together with the banking industry, to support people affected by storm No. 3. By September 12, 2024, the entire Agribank system had donated more than 17 billion VND to support the work of overcoming the consequences of the storm.
Although the operations of many branches and transaction offices were affected and their facilities were damaged by storms, rain and floods, promoting the role and responsibility of enterprises towards the community, Agribank implemented many meaningful activities, accompanying localities and people to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
In addition to social security work, Agribank branches in affected areas also urgently overcome damage, ensuring smooth operations; at the same time, proactively visit and directly grasp information from customers, partners, people, and businesses, and assess the overall damage to have support policies to quickly overcome difficulties, restore and develop production and business.
