Building materials in the face of highland climate challenges
The specific climate in localities such as Sa Pa and Lao Cai is high humidity, heavy rain, thick fog and large temperature differences between seasons. These factors directly affect the quality and lifespan of the project.
Reality shows that many projects in highland areas, if inappropriate materials are used, can quickly degrade, increasing maintenance and repair costs, affecting long-term exploitation efficiency.
In that context, investors are increasingly focusing on selecting construction materials with stable quality, suitable for terrain and climate conditions, in order to ensure safety and sustainability for the project as well as economic and social efficiency.

Businesses accompany highland projects
In the Northwest region, many infrastructure, housing and tourism projects have been and are being implemented, contributing to changing the urban appearance and creating more jobs for local workers. In the process, domestic building material manufacturing enterprises make an important contribution to ensuring the supply and quality of materials for projects.
Hoang Long Cement is one of the businesses selected to supply cement for many projects in Sa Pa and Lao Cai. Hoang Long Cement is also the unit selected to supply cement for the roofing ceremony of the Sofitel Sa Pa Hotel & Residences project, belonging to the Muong Hoa Sa Pa international resort complex. This is one of the large-scale tourism - resort projects, expected to contribute to promoting local economic development and creating more jobs for workers.
On behalf of Hoang Long Group, we hope to contribute to and develop the Muong Hoa project in Sa Pa ward, Lao Cai province. Building a tourism development center of the country to attract 15 million visitors by 2030 according to the province's leaders' target. Up to now, we have supplied over 10,000 tons, including cement used for concrete items and completed items" - Mr. Luong Quang Vinh, Business Director of Hoang Long Cement Joint Stock Company, shared.
In addition to tourism projects, Hoang Long Cement is also selected to supply cement for the Golden Square Lao Cai social housing project - a key project in the social housing development program.
In addition to the above projects, Hoang Long Cement also participates in supplying materials for many other projects in Sa Pa and Lao Cai areas, especially emphasizing the Muong Hoa Sa Pa international resort complex, contributing to completing the infrastructure system serving tourism and urban development in the locality.
At the Lao Cai Provincial Party Congress (term I, term 2025 - 2030), the report showed that the province's GDP is estimated to increase by 8.5%, completing the assigned target. In which, tourism continues to play a key role with more than 10.5 million visitors, total revenue is estimated at over 45,500 billion VND, all completing the set target.
To have such strong development steps, localities also need to have a sustainable approach in planning and construction. Choosing suitable materials, ensuring project quality and associated with social responsibility is considered an important factor for projects to promote long-term efficiency.
In the past year, the Northwest mountainous region has continuously suffered heavy consequences of storms and floods, and infrastructure has been seriously affected.
To promptly encourage local people and demonstrate the social responsibility of the business, Hoang Long Cement also implements community support activities. In 2025, Hoang Long donated more than 600 tons of cement to Ngu Chi Son commune, Ta Van commune, Sa Pa ward... to support people to overcome the consequences after the storm, repair and rebuild damaged roads.
This activity contributes to helping people soon stabilize their lives, ensure traffic, and at the same time show the companionship of businesses with localities in difficult times.
