During 35 years of establishment and development, PV GAS has provided over 193 billion m3 of natural gas, making a particularly important contribution to ensuring energy security (environment for electricity production), food security (environment for fertilizer production), industrial production development, transportation and energy transition in Vietnam. PV GAS's activities have contributed over VND114 trillion to the State budget, creating jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers.
In 2025, PV GAS recorded the highest revenue mark in the history of 35 years of establishment and development, contributing over VND7.8 trillion to the State budget, showing stable growth and operational efficiency being raised to a new step. Corporate governance costs decreased by 5% while revenue increased by 27%, showing the clear effectiveness of governance and cost reduction.
Faced with the fact that domestic gas resources are naturally declining, while gas demand for electricity production and industry continues to fluctuate strongly seasonally, according to weather developments and mobilization methods of the national power system, PV GAS identifies ensuring gas resources not only as a production and business task, but also the responsibility of a pillar enterprise in the national energy system. Based on the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Decision No. 3506/QD-BCT dated December 1, 2025, PV GAS has developed flexible regulation scenarios, optimizing the operation of the gas system, ready to adjust the supply plan to prioritize electricity production, while meeting the needs of industrial customers and transportation.
Entering 2026, in addition to providing liquefied natural gas for Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plants to be put into commercial operation, PV GAS affirmed its capacity and commitment to ensure sufficient gas resources for existing customers, including Power Plants in the Southeast region (Ba Ria, Phu My 1, Phu My 2.1, Phu My 4, Phu My BOT 2.2, BOT Phu My 3, Nhon Trach 1, Nhon Trach 2, Hiep Phuoc 1), Southwest region (Ca Mau 1, Ca Mau 2), Phu My dam, Ca Mau dam factories and key industrial customer system through PV GAS member units.
In case of a decline in domestic gas supply, PV GAS is ready to mobilize imported natural gas through Thi Vai LNG Port with a capacity of 1 million tons/year, ensuring the continuity, safety and stability of the energy supply chain. The proactive flexible combination of domestic gas and imported natural gas shows PV GAS's increasingly perfected operational capacity in fluctuating market conditions.
In parallel with the task of ensuring immediate supply, PV GAS is promoting investment in developing strategic gas and LNG infrastructure, creating a foundation for long-term growth. Key projects such as expanding Thi Vai LNG warehouse, developing LNG and LPG centers in the North, North Central and South Central regions, along with upgrading port systems, pipelines and logistics services are being focused on, thereby improving supply capacity and diversifying the market.
PV GAS also focuses on improving governance efficiency through restructuring, restructuring the apparatus, optimizing costs, enhancing forecasting and risk management, while expanding international cooperation, seeking investment and M&A opportunities in line with the Corporation's development strategy. Science, technology and innovation are identified as new growth drivers, in which the green hydrogen experimental production project expected to be implemented from the first quarter of 2026 is a step that demonstrates the determination to participate more deeply in the clean energy value chain, low carbon emissions.
With a long-term vision, proactiveness and operational capacity have been affirmed, PV GAS not only aims to complete and exceed the production and business plan for 2025, but also continues to maintain its pivotal role in ensuring national energy security, accompanying the high growth and sustainable development goals of Petrovietnam and the Vietnamese economy in the coming period.
