Attending the drill were representatives of Long Dien District Police; Representatives of PV GAS VUNG TAU and Dinh Co GPP; Representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Industry and Trade of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province; specialized fire prevention and fighting forces of Dinh Co GPP, Nam Con Son Pipeline Company, PC07 Department - Ba Ria - Vung Tau Police and Long Dien District Police.
The drill occurred at the pumping station area, there was an LPG leak that caused sparks and fire. The fire emitted a lot of heat and toxic smoke. During the long fire fighting, one member of the fire fighting team became exhausted and fainted.
Upon receiving the notification, Dinh Co GPP Fire Prevention and Fighting Force quickly arrived, isolated the incident, handled the technology, used nozzle A to spray concentrated water to control the fire and used nozzle B to spray dispersed water to cool and protect the technological pipeline.
Emergency response forces, fire prevention forces and coordinated means were also mobilized to control and reduce gas concentration and limit heat sources.
Upon being notified of a casualty, the rescue team immediately entered the scene, put an oxygen mask on the victim, used a stretcher to move the victim to the ambulance area, provided first aid, and took the victim to the nearest medical center.
At the same time, upon receiving notice of an oil leak in the TK-72 tank area, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Squad of the Production Support Team quickly sent people with fuel absorbing equipment to the scene, asking the driver to isolate the vehicle's valve and handle the oil spill.
After about 20 minutes, the fire commander announced that the fire had been extinguished, and the units recovered the vehicles and returned to their permanent units ready for combat.
The drill was a great success. Colonel Pham Van Tu - Deputy Head of Long Dien District Police highly appreciated the fire prevention and rescue work, response to oil spills and chemical spills at Dinh Co GPP.
He affirmed that safety is the most important factor in the production and processing process, especially for units with specific industries that have the risk of fire and explosion. Therefore, he was very pleased that PV GAS VUNG TAU and the units have coordinated smoothly, seriously and methodically in the fire prevention and fighting and rescue process.
