VinFuture season 5: 10 major universities accompany in creating a global knowledge network

VinFuture Science and Technology Week becomes a "red address" for scientists. In the 5th year, the event added a series of Future Exploration dialogues with major Vietnamese institutes and schools.

First held in 2023, the VinFuture Future Development Dialogue series opens up opportunities for the Vietnamese scientific community, especially young researchers, to exchange and connect with the world's leading minds. This year, the event series expanded to 10 major research institutes and universities, gathering domestic and foreign scientists in key fields such as AI, medicine, biology, chemistry, energy and environment, creating a forum for dialogue, sharing and finding solutions to global challenges.

Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh - Deputy Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology - affirmed that the annual VinFuture Science and Technology Week is a strategic catalyst, arousing the courage, aspiration for creativity and dedication of young Vietnamese scientists. Since 2023, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and VinFuture have organized many international scientific seminars and seminars with great influence.

That is a testament to the spirit of scientific research for humanity - something that VinFuture and Hanoi University of Science and Technology are both aiming for, with a focus on nurturing the desire for creativity, innovation, and contributing to sustainable social development, Associate Professor. He commented.

Witnessing students confidently sharing and interacting with major speakers around the world, he said that this is a valuable opportunity, helping young scientists to be strongly inspired and enthusiastic. After such events, students' scientific research and innovation activities increased sharply, with many topics on renewable energy, green materials, and AI in agriculture.

The passion for science spreading naturally in the young research community is the greatest success of the cooperation series with VinFuture, Associate Professor. Chinh said.

At the University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the 2024 seminar "Future of Artificial Intelligence" chaired by "father of AI" Prof. Yann LeCun - winner of the VinFuture 2024 Main Prize - as a speaker, has strongly inspired the young generation of the school's scientists.

Big expectations are placed on VinFuture Awards Week season 5

Associate Professor, Dr. Kim Bao Giang - Vice Principal in charge of Science, Technology and Postgraduate Training Management, Hanoi Medical University - said that the 2023 conference with Prof. Salim Abdool Karim - winner of the VinFuture 2021 Special Prize - has opened up many opportunities to connect lecturers, students and students with major research groups around the world.

During the VinFuture Awards Week 2025, the University of Natural Sciences will coordinate with the Fund to organize a seminar with Prof. Ingolf Steffan-Dewenter (Vernational University Würzburg, Germany; Member of the VinFuture Preliminary Council) - an expert on the impact of climate change on biodiversity and ecosystems.

Associate Professor. Ha said that Prof. Steffan-Dewenter is very close to the research strength of the unit, so it is expected that the event will gather a large number of scientists, discuss and propose ideas to serve sustainable development in Vietnam and the world.

He emphasized that VinFuture's connecting role is very important for the scientific community. Thanks to the Funds support, connecting with international scientists has become more effective, opening up many new cooperation opportunities, said Associate Professor. Ha said.

He hopes that VinFuture will continue to be a pioneer fund to promote Vietnamese science, through connecting scholars, sponsoring research, creating opportunities for exchange and inspiring students - future scientists.

That is also the viewpoint of Hanoi University of Science and Technology for activities within the framework of VinFuture Science - Technology Week 2025.

We expect VinFuture to continue to honor breakthrough projects in foundational fields such as new materials, automation, electronics, semiconductor technology, biotechnology, AI, contributing to promoting international cooperation between Vietnamese schools and institutes and leading universities in the world - Associate Professor.
