Bao Viet Insurance's payment commitment is being implemented urgently
In less than a month, Vietnam has suffered three serious storms: storm No. 9 (Ragasa), storm No. 10 (Bualoi) and storm No. 11 ( Matmo) causing serious impacts in many provinces and cities in the Northern and North Central regions.
The recent consecutive storms have seriously affected people's lives and activities. Tens of thousands of houses were deeply flooded, collapsed, and had their roofs blown off; many areas of crops and livestock were buried and washed away.
In that situation, Bao Viet Insurance immediately activated response plans, mobilizing all resources in the system to support customers to quickly overcome the damage, ensuring that insurance benefits are resolved promptly, transparently and most conveniently.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Deputy General Director of Bao Viet Insurance Corporation, said that the unit has implemented all necessary measures to protect the rights of customers, while promptly supporting affected areas.

As of October 8, Bao Viet Insurance has recorded a total of 372 losses, estimated compensation for damages of VND 119 billion. Areas that recorded a large number of losses include Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa damaged by the storm; Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang affected by flooding after the storm.
The top priority is to protect customer rights
Bao Viet Insurance has identified prioritizing maximum resources and shortening compensation processing time as a key task.
The appraisal officers of Bao Viet Insurance were present at the scene to check, confirm the damage and guide customers through compensation procedures.
At the same time, the hotline and eClaim system are operated 24/7 by Bao Viet Insurance to receive information, support customers to declare and monitor compensation settlement progress. The processing steps are shortened to the maximum, ensuring transparency and convenience throughout the entire process.
Currently, units across the system are continuing to urgently synthesize records, verify the extent of losses and assess risks to develop a handling plan and compensation advance payment.
Sharing the losses and difficulties that the people are suffering, Bao Viet has quickly implemented emergency support and social security activities, promoting the spirit of "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" and responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
On October 8, Bao Viet allocated 600 million VND from the Social Security Fund to support people severely affected by storms. The money was transferred to the Fatherland Front of Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai provinces, each province 100 million VND, to support people to overcome initial difficulties, stabilize housing and production.
In addition to direct financial support, Bao Viet also launched a fundraising movement throughout the system, calling for the cooperation of staff, employees, agents, and consultants nationwide. The company will continue to monitor and support localities affected by storms and floods.
