    At the same time, the price of 999 taels of silver (1kg) at Phu Quy Jewelry Group was listed at 39,013 - 40,213 million VND/kg (buy - sell); an increase of 80,000 VND/kg in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday morning.

    World silver price

    On the world market, as of 10:25 a.m. on July 14 (Vietnam time), the world silver price was listed at 38.62 USD/ounce; up 0.31 USD compared to yesterday morning.

    Causes and predictions

    During the week of July 6 to 12, silver prices continued to increase strongly. Notably, on July 11 alone, silver surged to 1.93%, surpassing the $37 resistance level, opening up a higher trading range.

    This rally is driven by a number of factors: the Federal Reserves signal of rate cuts, Trumps trade tensions, and a worsening shortage of money supply, market analyst James Hyerczyk stressed.

    When the Fed released the minutes of the meeting on July 9, it showed strong support for interest rate cuts, the market reacted strongly, reduced bond yields and increased the attractiveness of silver and gold as safe-haven assets.

    James Hyerczyk added that trade tensions have also increased as President Trump has imposed tariffs on many countries, including Japan, South Korea and countries in the region, creating concerns about inflation. This further increases the demand for silver as a safe haven.

    "In addition, industrial demand also plays an important role in the increase in silver prices. In 2025, the silver market is expected to be short of 117.6 million ounces, while industrial demand, especially from solar power, electric vehicles and AI, continues to increase," James Hyerczyk assessed.
