Queue from early morning to buy gold rings
Recorded at 9am on December 6, the price of plain round gold rings dropped sharply, but people's demand for gold did not decrease. On Tran Nhan Tong Street (Hanoi), Ms. Nguyen Hong Hanh (Hoan Kiem District) said:
"I want to buy a gold ring as a gift to celebrate my friend's upcoming marriage. But these past few days, every store I've been to has said they're out of stock or have limited quantities. The other day, I had to wait 2 hours to buy 2 taels of gold. This morning, I came very early in the hope of buying 1 more tael."
Ms. Ngo Thi Hoa (Hai Ba Trung district) also shared a similar experience:
"Most stores do not have fixed opening hours for selling gold rings. I asked the staff many times but they did not know the exact opening time. This morning, I arrived at 8:40 a.m. but still saw a lot of people lining up ahead of me. I don't know if I can buy today or not."
An employee at a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong Street said: "Currently, the shop is temporarily out of plain round gold rings and SJC gold bars. We cannot announce a specific time when we will reopen. However, customers who want to sell gold will still be accepted by the shop as usual."
Many gold buyers said that owning a 9999 smooth round gold ring at this time is very difficult. Many customers have to line up from early morning and wait for many hours in the hope of buying even a small amount.
It is expected that the heat of the domestic gold market will continue as gold prices continue to fluctuate.

As of 10:40 a.m. on December 6, the price of SJC gold bars listed by DOJI Group was at VND82.3 - 84.8 million/tael (buy - sell), down VND700,000/tael in both directions compared to the opening of the trading session yesterday morning.
The difference between buying and selling price of SJC gold at DOJI Group is at 3.5 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of SJC gold at 82.3 - 84.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell); down 700,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to the opening of the trading session yesterday morning.
The difference between buying and selling price of SJC gold at Saigon Jewelry Company is at 2.5 million VND/tael.
At the same time, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round gold ring at DOJI was listed at 82.8 - 83.9 million VND/tael (buy - sell); down 500,000 VND/tael for buying and down 600,000 VND/tael for selling compared to early this morning.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 82.88 - 83.98 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 400,000 VND/tael for both buying and selling compared to early this morning.
The world gold price listed on Kitco at 10:46 on December 6 (Vietnam time) is at 2,639.16 USD/ounce.
