Gold prices increase sharply, buying since the beginning of the year has made a profit of up to 44.9 million VND/tael

Earlier this year (January 1, 2025), the price of SJC gold bars was listed by Bao Tin Minh Chau and DOJI Group at VND82.2-84.2 million/tael (buy in - sell out). The difference between buying and selling prices is at 2 million VND/tael.

At the same time, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round gold rings at DOJI was listed at 83.3-84.2 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). The difference between buying and selling is 900,000 VND/tael.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 82.6-84.2 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). The difference between buying and selling is 1.6 million VND/tael.

Since then, domestic gold prices have continuously increased sharply. As of today (August 30, 2025), the price of SJC gold bars was listed by Bao Tin Minh Chau at 128.6-130.6 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). The difference between buying and selling is at 2 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, DOJI Group listed the price of SJC gold bars at 129.1-130.6 million VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling is at 1.5 million VND/tael.

At the same time, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round gold rings at DOJI was listed at 122.5-125.5 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). The difference between buying and selling is 3 million VND/tael.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 122.4-125.4 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). The difference between buying and selling is 3 million VND/tael.

Thus, within just nearly 8 months, domestic gold prices have recorded a record increase. At Bao Tin Minh Chau and SJC, gold bars increased by 46.4 million VND/tael for both buying and selling, while at DOJI the increase was 46.9 million VND and 46.4 million VND/tael, respectively.

In the 9999 round gold ring segment, prices also increased sharply when DOJI recorded an increase of 39.2 million VND/tael for buying and 41.3 million VND/tael for selling; while at Bao Tin Minh Chau, the corresponding increases were 39.8 million VND and 41.2 million VND/tael.

These figures show the strong price increase range of the gold market, with gold bars increasing remarkably, gold rings also breaking out equally.

If investors buy gold at the beginning of the year and resell at the present time, the profit will be very large. For SJC gold bars, the profit reached VND44.4 million/tael at Bao Tin Minh Chau, while at DOJI it was slightly higher at VND44.9 million/tael.

In the 9999 round gold ring segment, the profit was not small when DOJI recorded 38.3 million VND/tael and Bao Tin Minh Chau at 38.2 million VND/tael.

Domestic gold increased sharply partly due to the impact of the world gold market. World gold price on January 1, 2025 was listed around 2,624.2 USD/ounce. By this morning, the precious metal had risen to $823.3, to $3,446.5 an ounce.

However, in reality, the domestic gold price increase is much stronger than the world price. If international gold has only increased by about 31.3% since the beginning of the year, SJC gold bars and domestic gold rings have broken out by 56-57%, clearly reflecting the impact of supply - demand and domestic hoarding psychology.
