Compared to the same time last month, gold prices have decreased by 7.5 million VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.
At gold and silver business stores on Cau Giay street (Hanoi), there is no longer a bustling scene waiting to buy and sell. According to information released from stores on Cau Giay street, the amount of plain round gold rings bought and sold today is based on the actual quantity of goods and gold is returned directly.
Coming to the transaction store this morning, Ms. Nguyen Ha Phuong (Dong Da ward, Hanoi) shared: "I just entered the store and the staff asked to buy in cash or pay by bank transfer. I bought more than 1 chi of plain round gold rings, so I paid by ATM and then moved in to receive the gold".
According to Ms. Phuong, gold prices have had a prolonged decline, so the number of people buying is no longer as crowded as before.
Mainly those who have demand will buy in or sell out, no longer having the mentality of chasing the majority trend as before" - Ms. Phuong shared.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Duy My (Ha Dong ward, Hanoi) - a customer who bought in cash - said: "I bought about 1 tael of plain round gold rings, so I went straight to the transaction counter inside and completed it. Quick, not taking much time. Currently, going to any store is the same, only waiting for the price to drop to buy".
Besides the number of people buying, jewelry items are currently attracting a lot of attention. Mr. Nguyen Quang Diep (Lang ward, Hanoi) who went with relatives to choose necklaces to give to his niece - said: "The family has a wedding, so my brother and I went to choose necklaces for our niece, the prices of items are quite high, so instead of each person giving a gift of a necklace, we will buy together".
For Mr. Diep, wedding gifts today are no longer defined as plain round gold rings or rings. "Depending on family conditions and close relationships, choose suitable products. Besides gold rings, I will give my niece more household items" - Mr. Diep expressed.

At the same time as the survey, the price of SJC plain round gold rings tended to decrease, listed at the threshold of 155.3 - 158.3 million VND/tael (buying - selling).
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed gold ring prices equal to gold bar prices, currently at the threshold of 156 - 159 million VND/tael (buying - selling), unchanged compared to the beginning of the morning.
On the world market, as of 12:45 PM on June 1st (Vietnam time), world gold prices had a downward adjustment, listed around the threshold of 4,516.7 USD/ounce, down 21.6 USD.
