The labor force aged 15 and over in 2024 is estimated to reach 661,500 people, an increase of 2.5% compared to 2023.
The proportion of trained workers is estimated at 49.8%, up 0.1 percentage points compared to 2023. The number of employed workers aged 15 and over in 2024 is estimated at 648,800, up 2.5% compared to 2023, equivalent to an increase of 15,700. The average income of wage workers this year is estimated at 9 million VND/person/month, up 11.0% compared to the previous year.
"This year, Da Nang continues to implement the city's "Employment" program for the period 2022 - 2025, the Labor Market Development Support Program until 2030, the Project on Human Resources Forecasting and Labor Market Information in the city. In which, promoting the application of information technology in connecting labor supply and demand", said Mr. Tran Van Vu - Director of the Department of Statistics of Da Nang City.
According to Mr. Vu, 2025 is identified as the year that needs to create a breakthrough to complete the goals and tasks according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 22nd National Party Congress of the City and the Resolution of the City People's Council, the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021 - 2025. At the same time, closely following the Resolutions of the Party, City Party Committee, City People's Council to focus on synchronously and effectively implementing the viewpoints, goals, tasks, solutions for socio-economic development and the theme of 2025: "The year focuses on streamlining the apparatus associated with cutting administrative procedures, effectively implementing the organization of urban government and specific mechanisms and policies to strongly promote economic growth".
This year, Da Nang will also implement a plan to develop a flexible, modern, effective, sustainable and integrated labor market. Especially vocational training programs linked to the human resource needs of the city's businesses.
Organize training programs to improve the capacity of enterprises in terms of skills to penetrate target markets and exploit preferential commitments in free trade agreements. Support and guide export enterprises to access trade defense measures in foreign markets, increase added value and competitiveness of export products.
