According to statistics, currently, the entire Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) has about 30,350 people regularly working in the mines. Of these, 22,499 people regularly have to walk; 14,614 people have to walk less than 0.5km; 6,107 people have to walk from 0.5 to less than 1km; and 1,178 people have to walk from 1 to 2km.
The total number of coal mining areas that have to walk is 275, of which 22,499 people have to walk regularly.
Mong Duong Coal Joint Stock Company, Cam Pha City has 3 exploitation areas, the walking distance from the station containing passenger cars to the working location is from 0.6 - 0.7 km, the number of people regularly walking is 321 people.
Duong Huy Coal Company has 6 walking areas, of which the walking distance from 0.5km to less than 1km is 3 areas, with the number of people regularly walking being 363 people; from 1km -1.5km is 3 areas, with the number of people regularly walking being 491 people.
Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company has 2 areas that require walking, of which the walking distance of 0.46km has 130 people walking regularly; the walking distance of 0.5km has 60 people walking regularly. Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company has 13 areas that require walking regularly, of which the walking distance of less than 0.5km is 4 areas, the number of people walking regularly is 220 people; from 0.5 to 1km is 7 areas, the number of people walking regularly is 1,075 people, from 1km to under 2km is 2 areas, the number of people walking regularly is 240 people...
To improve the traveling conditions for miners in the mine as well as reduce the labor force for workers, increase productivity, every year the units pay attention to investing in means of transportation in the mine, to help workers minimize the distance they have to walk in the mine. Up to now, the units in the Group have invested in: 61 winches; 602 double-wheeled vehicles; 223 electric trains; 14 monorails and 36 other types of walking support vehicles.
A representative of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company said that in the coming time, the Company will continue to invest in a -140 level passenger lift system, install 7 more cable car winch systems to transport people at the main tunnels throughout the mine to serve the transportation of people, improving conditions for workers.
In many units, improving the travel conditions for miners is also being actively implemented. Khe Cham Coal Company is focusing on constructing anti-cutting and installing cable car winches to serve the travel of workers, ensuring that the walking distance of workers does not exceed 0.5km. In the coming time, based on the actual conditions in the mining areas, the Company will continue to invest, supplement, and rotate winch systems to serve the travel of workers. At the same time, for the upper and lower mine locations with a travel distance of ≤200m, the Company will invest and install winch systems to support walking to serve the travel of workers.
Mong Duong Coal Joint Stock Company and Thong Nhat Coal Company plan to continue surveying and making plans to cut, repair and expand mine roads in the near future to re-plan the locations of the stations for passenger cars to shorten the distance from the stations for passenger cars to the production areas to minimize the walking distance for workers.
Duong Huy Coal Company has been approved to invest in 1 set of Diesel Monoray KPCZ-95/4+2, currently in the bidding process, expected to receive the equipment by the end of 2024 to serve from the beginning of 2025; carrying a maximum of 32 people/4 passenger cabins.
Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company has approved the plan to improve the capacity of transporting people in the Vang Danh well area, and has invested in a KS-900/250 type of well hoist system, 1 system, expected to be installed at the main well from +110 to -175 Vang Danh, with a transport distance of 1,000m, 8 well hoist cars, with a capacity of 196 people/trip. Currently, the Company has completed the bidding documents, expected to install and put into use for production by the end of 2024.
Quang Hanh Coal Company has invested in an additional set of inclined kiln double-roller (2 cars) at +30/-300 level.
