Clause 4, Article 4, Decree 234/2026/ND-CP stipulating the handling of disciplinary action against public employees (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates that in cases of violations with one or more of the following details, the disciplinary level is reduced:
a) Proactively and promptly report violations, voluntarily take personal responsibility for shortcomings and violations, and voluntarily accept disciplinary actions commensurate with the content, nature, and severity of violations before and during the inspection and supervision process;
b) Proactively provide information, dossiers, documents, and fully and truthfully reflect on those who jointly violate;
c) Proactively stop violations, actively participate in preventing violations; voluntarily pay for corrupt assets, compensate for damages, and remedy the consequences caused by themselves;
d) Cases where the disciplinary level is reduced as stipulated in the National Assembly's Resolution on specific mechanisms and policies to handle violations of land law by organizations and individuals occurring before the 2024 Land Law takes effect and remove difficulties and obstacles for backlog and prolonged projects;
d) Other cases that are mitigated according to the provisions of law.
Thus, from July 1, 2026, the above-mentioned cases of civil servants will be reduced in discipline.
