Clause 2, Article 23 of the Law on Forces Participating in the Protection of Security and Order at the Grassroots Level stipulates that those participating in the forces participating in the protection of security and order at the grassroots level are entitled to support and compensation when they are sent for training, coaching, or performing tasks assigned by competent authorities or when they are mobilized to perform tasks. The level of support and compensation is prescribed as follows:
a) When sent for training, they will receive allowances equal to the basic food allowance of a conscripted soldier of the People's Public Security;
b) When on duty from 10:00 p.m. the previous day to 6:00 a.m. the following day, on holidays, when performing heavy, toxic, dangerous or especially heavy, toxic, dangerous work according to the provisions of the law on labor, the allowance level is decided by the People's Council of the province;
c) When performing duties in border areas, islands, mountainous areas, areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions, ethnic minority areas or at key commune-level administrative units for national defense, they are entitled to an additional allowance for working days as decided by the Provincial People's Council;
d) When being mobilized, called upon, or sent to perform tasks outside the assigned area, the agency that mobilized, called upon, or sent to perform the task will provide transportation, food, and accommodation support during the task.
Thus, those participating in the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level while on duty are entitled to the levels of support and compensation as prescribed above.
