Regulations on health standards for military service

Article 4 of Circular 105/2023/TT – BQP stipulates health standards as follows:

1. Health standards for military service

a) General standards

Achieve health level 1, 2, 3 as prescribed in Article 5, Article 6 of this Circular;

Citizens addicted to narcotics and drug precursors are not called up for military service as prescribed in Decree No. 57/2022/ND-CP dated August 25, 2022 of the Government stipulating the list of narcotics and precursors.

b) Specific standards: Some specific health standards in military service selection are prescribed by the Minister of National Defense.

2. Health standards for military recruitment for regular university, college and intermediate training; military recruitment for university and college training in basic military fields

a) General standards: Meet health level 1, type 2 as prescribed in Article 5, Article 6 of this Circular;

b) Specific standards: Comply with the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense on admission to military schools.

3. Health standards for recruitment into the cadre team; training of reserve officers called into active service

a) General standards: Meet health level 1, type 2 as prescribed in Article 5, Article 6 of this Circular;

b) Specific standards: For positions of specialized technical experts in narrow fields, where it is difficult to attract human resources for the military, as prescribed by the Minister of National Defense.

4. Health standards for recruitment of professional soldiers, workers and defense officials

a) General standards: Meet health level 1, 2, 3 as prescribed in Article 5, Article 6 of this Circular;

b) Specific standards: For the recruitment of professional soldiers, workers and defense officials with narrow technical expertise and difficulty in attracting human resources for the army, the Minister of National Defense shall prescribe.

Thus, the health standards for performing military service are prescribed as above.
