Standards for Inspection Team Heads according to new regulations

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 22 of Decree 216/2025/ND-CP (effective from August 5, 2025) stipulates the standards for Heads of Inspection Teams as follows:

1. General standards:

a) Have moral qualities, a sense of responsibility, integrity, honesty, fairness, objectivity;

b) Have professional qualifications and skills in accordance with the requirements and tasks of the inspection;

c) Understand inspection policies, laws, and professions; be able to analyze, evaluate, and summarize issues related to the content and fields of inspection;

d) Having the capacity to direct and operate the activities of the Inspection Team.

2. Specific standards:

a) The inspection team of the Government Inspectorate, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Defense, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security, the Inspectorate of the State Bank, and the Provincial Inspectorate shall have the Head of the inspection team being the main inspector or higher;

b) The inspection team of other inspection agencies must be an inspector or higher.

Thus, from August 5, 2025, To become the Head of the inspection team, it is necessary to meet the standards according to the above regulations.
