The Government Inspectorate has issued a thematic inspection plan for works and projects with difficulties, problems, delays, prolonged backlogs, low efficiency, and risk of causing loss and waste.
At the Ministry of Education and Training alone, the Government Inspectorate will inspect 5 projects including:
1. Investment project to build Kien Giang Branch of Nha Trang University;
2. Investment project to complete the construction of Tay Bac University;
3. Compensation, support, resettlement and urgent infrastructure project for Thai Nguyen University Central Park;
4. The project to invest in the construction of the University Urban Area's technical infrastructure system has an investor, the University of Mining and Geology;
5. Hue University Compensation and Site Clearance Project.
The inspection team consists of 16 members led by Mr. Ngo Dinh Long - Deputy Director of Department X. Inspection period: From project implementation to July 1, 2025; if necessary, it can be considered before or after the above period.
The inspection period is 45 days, from the date of announcement of the Inspection Decision (including holidays, Tet, and holidays according to regulations).
Previously, at the announcement ceremony of the inspection decision, Mr. Le Tan Dung - Deputy Minister of Education and Training said that he would direct units to strictly implement the Decision of the Government Inspector General and the plan of the Inspection Team. At the same time, he will closely coordinate with the Inspection Team throughout the inspection process at the projects; assign units to review all relevant documents and records, and coordinate to provide complete records and documents in accordance with the requirements of the Inspection Team.
Regarding the thematic inspection plan for works and projects with difficulties, problems, delays, long-term backlogs, low efficiency, and the risk of causing loss and waste, Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong has directed the Departments under the Government Inspectorate to focus on completing necessary procedures to deploy inspection teams to ensure progress and quality according to legal regulations.
In particular, it is noted that some contents show signs of violations and risks of causing loss and waste in approving investment policies; establishing, appraising, approving investment projects; selecting investors, negotiating, signing contracts; capital allocation, settlement of investment projects; land allocation, land lease, land use purpose change; determination of land prices, fulfillment of financial obligations on land...
Assess and clearly identify the causes of difficulties, problems, delays, prolonged backlogs, low efficiency, and risk of loss and waste.
According to the plan, the Government Inspectorate will issue Inspection Conclusions before September 25, 2025.
