Trucks are the abbreviation of the term for cargo cars
Article 28 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024 (effective from January 1, 2025) stipulates the case of carrying people on cargo vehicles as follows:
1. Only people are allowed to be carried on the cargo box of a car in the following cases:
a) Carrying people to perform rescue, relief, natural disaster prevention and control, epidemics or perform emergency tasks; transporting victims to emergency care; taking people out of dangerous areas or in other emergency cases as prescribed by law;
b) Carrying people from the People's Armed Forces on emergency missions;
c) Carrying people to practice driving on a driving practice vehicle; carrying people taking a driving test on a driving test vehicle; carrying workers on road maintenance and repair duties;
d) Carrying a paradeer in a group when permitted by a competent authority.
2. Carrying goods and passengers in the cases specified in Clause 1 of this Article must ensure safety when participating in road traffic.
Thus, the case of being allowed to carry people on a truck is regulated as above.
