Requirements for organizing extra teaching and learning in schools

Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 4, Article 5, Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning (effective from February 14, 2025) stipulates that class arrangement, timetable arrangement and organization of extra teaching and learning must ensure the following requirements:

a) Extra classes are arranged by subject for each grade; each class has no more than 45 (forty-five) students;

b) Do not arrange extra teaching hours interspersed with the timetable and do not teach extra content in advance compared to teaching according to the subject program distribution in the school's education plan;

c) Each subject is organized to teach no more than 02 (two) periods/week.

So when schools organize extra classes, they must meet the above requirements.
