Up to now, many universities have announced the enrollment plan in 2025. In which, allows candidates to convert international language certificates, popular as IELTS, to English subject. This point is combined with two other subjects in the combination by the method based on high school graduation test scores or admission of academic records.
Vietnam Agricultural Academy is the only school that accepts IELTS from 4.0, turning into 6 English subjects. Candidates who achieve IELTS 6.0 are calculated as 10 English subjects when registering based on the graduation exam score.
Foreign Trade University offers 3 ways to consider admission with candidates with IELTS certificates in 2025, including: Considering IELTS with high school transcripts, IELTS review with high school graduation exam scores and IELTS with SAT/ACT/ACT-A- Level (other international foreign language certificates are similarly considered).
In particular, the method of IELTS with high school transcripts is only for students specializing in mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics, Literature, foreign languages and students with national prizes, students with provincial prizes ( Most, second, third) in these subjects. The method also applies to students winning the national science and technology prize.
Conditions for submitting applications for IELTS certificates are 6.5 or higher. This score has not changed compared to previous years.
Vietnam Women's Academy, University of Transport, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Thang Long University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Tuong University of Construction Dad converted IELTS certificate to English score.
Among the schools that have announced the level of IELTS certification to English score, National Economics University and Thang Long University are the two highest requirements. Candidates who achieve the new IELTS 5.5 are counted as 8 points, from 7.5 and above to be converted into 10 points.
The remaining schools are converted with candidates with IELTS 5.0 and above.

As at Hanoi Pedagogical University, candidates with IELTS 6.5 or higher are given 1-3 points when registering into English pedagogy, Math/Physics/Chemistry Pedagogy in English ...
And Hanoi Medical University applies a lower benchmark not exceeding 3 points for candidates with English or French certificates.
