The second phase of the competency assessment exam was held in 11 localities, including: Hue, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tien Giang, An Giang.
This is the last opportunity of the year for candidates to use the results of this exam to apply to universities and colleges that use the method of considering the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University.

According to information from Ho Chi Minh City National University, out of 94,841 candidates taking the second round, 67,623 candidates have taken the first and second rounds (accounting for 71.3%); 27,218 candidates taking the first round (accounting for 28.7%). Ho Chi Minh City has the largest number of candidates registered to take the exam with 33,427 candidates.
According to Lao Dong at the exam site of the University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (District 5), many candidates appeared quite comfortable, mixed with a bit of excitement.
Le Thanh Duy, a candidate taking the exam here, said that he plans to use the results of the competency assessment exam to register for admission to Foreign Trade University - Ho Chi Minh City campus.
"In the first round, I got 852 points, not reaching the level I expected, so I continued to register for the second round. Hopefully in this exam I will do better, achieving over 900 points," Thanh Duy said.
Similarly, contestant Truong Quoc Thai said he wanted to achieve better results in the second round of the exam. In the first phase, Thai achieved nearly 700 points, and plans to use this result to apply for the semiconductor Technology major at the University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
"In the first round, I found the exam quite comprehensive, I had a lot of knowledge in grades 10 and 11, I did not prepare well so I made mistakes in some questions, unfortunately I lost points. I expect to be able to achieve more than 900 points in this round," Quoc Thai said.

It is expected that the results of the second round will be announced on June 16. If candidates take both exams, the higher exam results will be used for admission.
According to Ho Chi Minh City National University, there are currently more than 100 educational institutions registered to use the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University for admission to the unit.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the results of the first round of exams of more than 126,000 candidates. In which, the average score of candidates is 618.4 points, 142 candidates achieve over 1,000 points.

Candidates with the highest exam score in the exam are 1,060 points and candidates with the lowest exam score is 40 points. In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City National University will not send a paper copy of the certificate of the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam ( Certificate) to candidates as in previous years.
Instead, candidates will be granted an electronic certificate to create more favorable conditions for candidates and admission units.
