Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the Enrollment Plan for 10th grade of high school (THPT) in the 2026 - 2027 school year in the province, with the goal of enrolling about 85% of secondary school graduates.
According to the plan, the 10th grade entrance exam will take place in 2 days, May 28 and 29, 2026. Schools apply for admission and complete it before June 25, 2026 and announce the results before June 30, 2026.
The plan also clearly stipulates the enrollment method for each type.
Two specialized high schools Le Quy Don - Nam Nha Trang and Le Quy Don - Dong Hai specialized high schools apply the entrance exam format with 4 subjects including Literature, Mathematics, English and specialized subjects.
Khanh Hoa Ethnic Minority Boarding High School and Ninh Thuan Ethnic Minority Boarding High School apply the admission form; Pi Nang Tac Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School organizes entrance exams.
For non-specialized public high schools, enrollment is carried out in the form of entrance exams or admission consideration. Among them, some schools apply admission consideration including Lac Long Quan High School, Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary and High School, Khanh Son High School; and at the same time consider admission for students studying French as foreign language 1 to Nguyen Van Troi High School. The remaining schools organize entrance exams with 3 subjects: Literature, Mathematics and English.
Non-public high schools and institutions with continuing education programs at the high school level apply the form of admission.
In Thai Nguyen, the Thai Nguyen Department of Education and Training has issued a document announcing the 3rd exam subject for 10th grade in the 2026 - 2027 school year as English.
The exam is in the form of objective multiple-choice, the exam time is 60 minutes. Many exam codes in one exam room ensure the principle that 2 adjacent candidates do not overlap exam codes.
Candidates take the exam on multiple-choice answer sheets; the exam paper is graded using computer software.
Previously, localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Da Nang, Hue, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh... all chose the third exam subject as Foreign Language or English.
