Types of documents to bring
The public 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year has nearly 103,000 candidates registered to take the exam in Hanoi. The city has arranged 201 official exam locations with more than 4,400 exam rooms.
This year is the first year of the 10th grade exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. According to the plan, at exactly 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (6, 6), all candidates will be present at the exam room to complete the exam procedures.
During the exam preparation, candidates must present the 10th grade entrance exam form for the 2025 - 2026 school year (with a student photo and a stamp of an educational institution or an education and training department - for independent candidates), or an ID card/citizen identification card.
If the candidate loses the exam report form, there must be a commitment letter according to the regulations of the test score leader.
At this exam preparation session, the exam scores will organize the study of regulations for all candidates, in which candidates are reminded of Article 21 ( candidate responsibility) and Article 57 ( handling candidates who violate exam regulations).
Candidates will also hear about the exam schedule, regulations on drum command signs; instructions on exam room diagrams; hear about how to do foreign language tests, how to record information on multiple-choice answers; how to draw license plates, how to draw exam codes...
Items brought into the exam room
This is the first year the new regulations have been applied, so candidates need to pay special attention to the list of items that are allowed and prohibited from being brought into the exam room.
Accordingly, candidates are only allowed to bring: writing Butts, lines, pens, pens, exfoliation, eikes, compa, graphic drawing meters, drawing tools, handheld computers without the function of drafting documents and without memory cards.
Thus, the new point in this year's exam is that candidates are not allowed to enter the Atlat exam room for geography, Circular table and soluble table.
The list of prohibited items includes: Coal papers, pens, alcoholic beverages, weapons, explosives/fireworks, documents, communication equipment (collection, information broadcasting, recording, recording), mobile phones and any items that can contain information for fraud.
These items are not only prohibited from being brought into the exam room, but are also prohibited from being brought into the waiting room.
Calmly handle arising situations
One of the contents emphasized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DET) is to check the exam questions in the first 5 minutes after receiving the exam questions from the exam moderator.
If the exam is found to be missing pages, printed poorly, torn, or have technical errors, the candidate must immediately report to the supervisor within 5 minutes from the time of starting the exam.
If there are situations such as lack of test-taking tools, forgetting personal documents... In those cases, candidates need to stay calm, immediately report to the supervisor for guidance, absolutely do not leave the exam area to return to get their items, avoid violations or being late.
Candidates should pay special attention to the fact that if they arrive more than 15 minutes later than the test time signal, candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.
One of the principles of admission to public schools of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training is that candidates must complete all 3 exams. If they lack an exam, they will not have the opportunity to participate in the admission.

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Hanoi will take place on June 7-8 with 3 exams: Math, Literature, Foreign Language. Candidates taking the specialized exam will take a specialized subject on June 9.
This year, the rate of public grade 10 enrollment targets reached 64%, an increase of 3% compared to last year. In accordance with the regulations in the exam regulations, Hanoi will announce the exam scores and admission admission scores at the same time.
It is expected that no later than July 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the benchmark scores of high schools.
