The 2025 high school graduation exam takes place over 2 days, June 26 - 27, with 1.17 million candidates taking the exam.
This year's exam is the first time the exam has been applied in parallel to two educational programs. Candidates under the 2018 General Education Program will take four exams, including two compulsory subjects, Math and Literature, and two elective subjects from the subjects they have studied.
Candidates studying under the 2006 Program will take three compulsory exams including Math, Literature and Foreign Language, and choose one of two combined exams: Natural Science or Social Science.

After knowing the scores, candidates can calculate the high school graduation score as follows:
Graduation score = [(total score of 4 subjects + total motivation points)/4] + average score of school years] / 2 + priority points (if any).
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates who are eligible to take the exam, are not subject to disciplinary action to cancel the exam results, and have a graduation score of 5 points or more will be recognized as high school graduation. In which, all exams and subjects must achieve above 1 point on a scale of 10.
After knowing the scores, candidates have 10 days to review if they need, from July 16 to July 25. Candidates who wish to enter university will register and adjust their wishes unlimitedly on the general system of the Ministry from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
