Enrollment 2026: Universities promote combined admissions

Phương Anh |

To date, many universities have announced enrollment plans for 2026, in which the trend of considering admissions combining many criteria and assessing candidates' abilities stands out.

Up to now, many universities have successively announced their enrollment plans for 2026, with a prominent trend of using admission methods combined with many evaluation criteria.

For FPT University, this year, the school also uses a combined method of considering criteria. Specifically, the admission methods for 2026 are as follows:

- Method 1: Direct admission.

- Method 2: Combined admission (Admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam combined with high school academic results, along with priority points according to regulations).

- Method 3: Priority admission.

Regarding the combined admission method, the school said that this form aims to comprehensively assess the student's learning process instead of just relying on one single criterion.

At the University of Transport and Communications, this year, the school plans to enroll 6,660 full-time university targets using 4 methods.

- Method 1: Admission based on the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam and direct admission of national and international prize-winning candidates.

- Method 2 (Combined admission): Combined admission between high school academic results and the 2026 high school graduation exam score condition.

- Method 3: Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2026 for some training majors in Hanoi and admission based on the competency assessment results of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in 2026 for training majors at the Ho Chi Minh City Branch.

- Method 4: Admission based on the results of the 2026 thinking assessment exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology with some training majors in Hanoi.

Compared to last year, the difference lies in the high school transcript admission method combined with the high school graduation exam score condition. This method will only apply to candidates with a Math graduation exam score of 5 or higher, while the applied mathematics major requires 6 points or higher.

The Banking Academy has just announced the method of regular university admission in 2026. Specifically as follows:

1. Direct admission

2. Combined admission, including:

- Combine high school academic results with international certificates such as SAT, IELTS, TOEFL iBT;

- Combine high school academic results with the results of the Aptitude Assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (HSA);

- Combine high school academic results with university entrance aptitude test results (V-SAT).

3. Admission based on the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam.

Compared to 2025, the school no longer separately considers transcript scores or scores of competency assessment tests. Instead, in the combined admission method, the school uses transcript results combined with international certificates (SAT, IELTS, TOEFL iBT), HSA competency assessment test scores of Hanoi National University or V-SAT entrance competency assessment test.
